NAIT’s Bachelor of Technology Ideally Suited for Pakistani Engineering Graduates

If you are an Engineering or Computer Science graduate who wishes to study in Canada, then consider embark on a journey of innovation and technological excellence with the Bachelor of Technology program at NAIT.

Why do I call out to Engineering and Computer Science graduates? Many aspiring international students from Pakistan want to study a Master’s degree in Canada, but if your GPA is between 2.7 and 3.3, the likelihood of getting a graduate admission offer from a research intensive Canadian university is very low. Therefore, the Bachelor of Technology degree is ideally suited for those students whose GPA is well below the admission average for Canadian university graduate programs.

Why Should an International Student take a BTech Degree?

NAIT’s Bachelor of Technology in Management (BTech) is the only degree of its kind in Alberta. This degree was developed to give you management knowledge and skills for the Canadian marketplace so you can move from only technology know-how to a career in technological management. In industries today, there is a demand for leaders who can tackle the technological challenges of today’s economy.

This 2-year degree (build on your previous degree or diploma) offers four specializations designed to meet industry demand and give you a competitive edge.

  • General Management

  • Project Management

  • Operations Management

  • Sustainability Management

Canadian Industry Partnership

NAIT is noted for it’s connection to the industry in Alberta, whether it is management, technology or health services. Industry partnerships are necessary for employment placements in their internships and co-op work experience programs and in industry related research. Two components of the program that will make you employment ready when you graduate are:

  • The Co-op Work Experience Program – you work up to 15 weeks in the industry which gives you practical skills of the courses taught and gives you Canadian work experience which is so essential for international students looking for employment when they graduate. And you get paid for it at the same time.

  • The Capstone Project – you will present your project at the BTech Capstone Showcase which will be attended my members of the industry who are there to see your solution to a current industry problem. Who knows, perhaps one of the attending guests will be your next employer when you graduate.
