Previously I covered more prestigious, high-value scholarships, so today I'll focus on other notable undergraduate scholarships for international students wishing to study in Canada, valued at approximately $40,000 CAD.
1. University of New Brunswick (UNB) Lady Vi Aitken Scholarship:
• Value: $40,000 CAD over four years ($10,000 per year). When tuition is around $22,000 per year, this scholarship makes a very nice financial aid package.
• Eligibility: Top international students entering an undergraduate degree program at UNB. Selection is based on academic excellence, extracurricular activities, and community engagement.

2. Wilfrid Laurier University Laurier Scholars Award:
• Value: Up to $40,000 CAD over four years. Wilfrid Laurier’ University’She cas tuition is affordable and they have various financial aid opportunities for international students.
• Eligibility: High-achieving international students entering their first year of undergraduate studies at Wilfrid Laurier University. Candidates should demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and leadership potential.
• Details: This competitive scholarship requires a separate application, which opens on December 2, 2024, for fall 2025 entry. The application deadline is February 25, 2025. For more details visit here.
3. Wilfrid Laurier University President's Gold Scholarship:
• Value: $6,000 CAD per year, totaling up to $24,000 CAD over four years.
• Eligibility: International students with an admission average of 95% or higher, entering their first year of undergraduate studies.
• Details: This scholarship is automatically renewable annually if the student maintains an annual GPA of 10.5 or higher, based on the completion of a minimum of 5.0 full credits during the previous academic year. Check out the details here.
4. Wilfrid Laurier University Stay Golden at Laurier Scholarship:
• Value: Up to $24,000 CAD over four years (up to $30,000 CAD for approved five-year programs).
• Eligibility: International undergraduate students beginning their studies in fall 2024 or winter 2025 with an admission average of 80% or higher. For more information, click here.
• Details: The scholarship offers a tiered structure based on admission average, with amounts ranging from $1,500 to $6,000 in the first year. In subsequent years, students can receive $5,000 annually, provided they maintain a minimum overall GPA of 10.0 (80%).
